Gessner supports breast cancer in Sprintcar
A big thank you to the GC Motorsport team who are supporting our fight against breast cancer.
Driver Cameron Gessner and his team are displaying the Breast Cancer Australia logo and pink ribbon on their car, transporter and uniforms throughout the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championships.
The sprint car is a brand new Cheetah design, which they hope will propel them up the leader board and of course give them podium finishes.
We wish Cameron and his team well, and thank everyone involved for their support in helping Breast Cancer Australia raise awareness and prevention into this disease that affects so many people in our community.

Rustons Roses Pink Tractor Art
During the Riverland Rose Festival, Ruston Roses held a truly unique and inspiring fundraiser. They painted their old tractor pink, and for a small donation, visitors to the Festival were able to paint a flower of their own on the tractor. For many, this was an opportunity to remember someone they had lost to breast cancer, for others it was an innovative way to support the cause.
Regardless of the reasons, the support was overwhelming and over $1,600 was raised. The tractor is now being used to promote the cause at other local events. Thank you to Anne and Richard for all their support.

Art Studio 17
Liz Burton and Art Studio 17 recently held a fundraiser at their gallery in Sunnybank Hills. Artists had generously donated their time and skills to paint a range of mini paintings which were sold with all proceeds funding Breast Cancer Australia's programs in Brisbane and across the country.
Helen Brooks, from our Brisbane office, gave a short speech on our aims and patrons enjoyed light refreshments while enjoying all the artwork displayed. This is the second event held by the Studio and raised $2535. Congratulations to all concerned, particularly the artists, and thanks again to Liz for her tireless work to organise the entire event.

Breast Cancer Fundraising Initiative a Success
Breast Cancer Australia we would like to thank Frank Trimboli for his fundraising initiative and contribution towards the Ladies for Breast Cancer Fundraiser Luncheon at Sturt Football.
The lunch was a tremendous success with sold out tickets and approximately 160 people attending. The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Dave Flanagan were the highlights of the day. Julian Burton was a fantastic MC and all ladies and gentlemen were dressed beautifully in pink.
The room was decorated in pink with centre pieces on all tables, pink balloons and Breast Cancer Australia banners as well as the Pink Panther roaming around and getting his photo taken with many of the guests.
The raffles, silent auction and live auction items, including Harley Davidson ride to Mclaren Vale and David Bromely painting 'Iconic Boy', were greatly supported helping us to raise over $29,000 with the $10,000 contribution from the AMP Foundation.
We appreciate all the sponsors and attendees for their support and would like to thank everyone involved on behalf of Breast Cancer Australia.
It would be our pleasure to invite you again next year as we would like to hold this as an annual event. It is now an important part of our yearly fundraising so this will be the catalyst towards the next bigger and better fundraising event.
